The public swimming pools have closed and the back-to-school sales are over and done. Classes have already started in most of the school districts and the universities begin classes tomorrow. It’s still really hot in central Texas, but the change of the seasons is on its way.
Taking advantage of the last days of summer
Even though most of Texas is still in a drought, there are local sites where we can go for some relief, like the Zilker Botanical Garden.

Tuesday we recorded summer’s first 100 degree day at the house. This definitely turns our minds to ideas on how to keep cool.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s good for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
