Tell me it’s time to let go
Au revoir, winter

A Late Blue Norther
A late blue norther
Gathers hail at the corner
Bruising spring’s new growth

Poem #2 of NaPoWriMo

A Day Like Today
Interestingly enough, the sun rose this morning
It seemed like the thing to do
Trees sprout their spring attire, a bit more each day
The wind picks up, drying the dew
These customary actions lure us into a false sense of security
A day like today promises no tomorrow

Time and Space
In the interest of time and space
Let’s erase the line between dark and light
Join yesterday and tomorrow, calling it Today
The sky begins at our feet
But who remembers that we live with the clouds?
Rooftops and walls keep in as much
Or more
As they keep out
Nothing is only black and white
Even that which is black and white
Especially that which is black and white
Light obscures as much as darkness
Shadows reveal more than the bright sun
Seeing is a learned response
But who knows where to look?
Time and space creep ever forward

Ripples in water, ripples in time
Flow away from some, towards others
What we don’t know is where we are:
In a pond, river, ocean?
And, what is at the bottom?
