Good job! You could go even farther. There’s still enough shape in the background to distract — your brain wants to identify the objects, where just a bokeh would really make the hippo pop out. A blue hippo! Was it blue in the original, I wonder.
The hippo is blue. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has the original from way back when.
