This is not one of my quilts. This was a sample in a quilt fabric shop; I just can’t remember which one.
Ah, so many quilt fabric shops, so little time.

When I started sketching, I discovered that I had a heavy hand: all my lines were deep and dark; hard to erase. I’ve worked on changing that, and now I find that I have to re-do many, if not all, lines in my sketches because they are too light and don’t show up well in photos. It’s always something!
Sketch 096: Oil Lamp
I really like this lamp. It could go in a Hobbit or Fairy House. I didn’t make the base of the lampshade wide enough in my sketch.

One peach. Looking at our two peach trees, that’s the total number of peaches I found yesterday. The trees bloomed so beautifully this spring and then we had a late, hard freeze for a couple of nights. And now we have one peach.
It will be a beautiful peach, I’m sure, once it ripens. I’m just as sure the birds will get to it before we do. As they say in baseball: Wait till next year.
