I have a confession to make: this photo is staged. These stuffed bears keep watch on Shelly’s desk. And, ahem, we had to separate them after this photo shoot. We didn’t want to find any little pink baby bears on her desk the next morning. wink wink

And across the street from the Texas Capitol on the west side is the Westgate Tower condo building. Built in 1966, it was the first residential high-rise building in Austin. It was controversial then and still a little bit controversial today, as it’s been designated as an historic landmark.

Across the street from the Capitol grounds on the north side is this small apartment building, right in the middle of the state office complex. It’s probably more affordable than the Westgate Tower condos, but that’s just a guess on my part.

Here is the blonde squirrel on the Texas Capitol grounds. The other squirrels are brown or gray. I was lucky to have my camera on the day that Blondie was near the sidewalk.

Love: warm, chewy cookies right out of the oven and a good book. It just doesn’t get any better.
I didn’t get to taste these wonderful peanut butter cookies fresh from the ovens of Tiff’s Treats. I bought them as a Thank You for a co-worker. But it was nice driving home with that aroma filling up my vehicle.

I recently rescued these books from the storage shed. I was so happy to find them. I remember reading the whole set as a youngster and being enthralled with the stories. They are next on my to-(re)-read list. And then I’ll return to Tiff’s Treats to get some cookies for myself.
