Earlier this spring, there was quite a bit of activity on our Italian Stone Pine trees. Not so much now, in the heat and drought.

The peaches were just ripening when I visited my friends in Moody, Texas. We even had peach cobbler for dessert, made from the peaches gathered that same morning. Yummy!



Day 24 of the 2018 Direct Watercolor Challenge: an abstract tree. I decided to try something abstract, as my paintings are somewhat wonky when I don’t have an underlying sketch. This way I can say the result is exactly what I intended, no matter how it turns out.
