An On-going Battle
Mother Nature may abhor a vacuum
But artificial barriers are next on her list
We prop them up willy-nilly
Thinking ‘That’s that!’
She doesn’t agree
Immediately sends her agents
To neutralize any attempt at permanence
It’s an on-going battle
She’s in it for the long run
Planning to win the war

Some small jewels on the Tejas Park Trail.
Getting ready to leaf out.
A cocoon. I don’t know what kind.
I found this along the Violet Crown Trail last week. It seems that everything is getting the idea that it is time to leaf out.
For still being in winter, we are having warm temperatures. While in the back yard yesterday, I noticed that the ash tree has decided to wake up. Most likely we will have more freezes before mid-March. The only question is whether or not they will be hard freezes and burn back the early risers.
This is so me.
