Dragonflies

Somehow I managed to get a few dragonfly photos. I won’t show you the dozens of blurry, unrecognizable photos where you would just have to take my word for it that the subject is a dragonfly.

Hold still!

In addition to the dragonfly wings moving (and making it hard to get a focused photo), it was, of course, quite windy.

Black and white dragonfly

Where does this wind come from, anyway?

Taken near West Point, Texas.

Go Figure

Back before digital cameras were invented and we only used film, we would have to wait days to get our photos back, only to find that they looked like these, all perwhacky.

Longhorn cattle getting hand-held treats

Longhorn treats. You feed her. I’m fine where I am, thank you.

And we’d throw them away, right?

Now that I have a digital camera, I take these types of photos on purpose! Go figure.

Photos are from our visit to Cripple Creek Critters in Paige, Texas.
