Future: Weekly Photo Challenge

Future Roses s

Harbinger of Hope

The rose draws within for winter
Creating its own shelter
Returning from the frost is an uncertainty
We are always the last to know its fate

A leaf dares to steal a look at spring
A rosebud follows, shows us how to survive
Extending its petals, in time

A sigh of relief escapes through the open window
With the sunrise we discover another chance
To cherish the rose
A harbinger of hope for the future

An Unspoken Invitation

Open seating, easy to view
Nature’s gallery of artwork

Flowers on the table
Sharing nature’s smile

An unspoken invitation
Shall we accept?

It Takes Time

08 It Takes Time s

It Takes Time

It takes time to grow strong enough to

Cast a shadow such as this
Heal wounds ripping through my soul and flesh
Learn the sky starts at my feet
Catch the spring breezes
Accept my thorns

Life, it takes time

Paths Crossed

White crowned sparrow in the yellow Lady Banks rose bush

White crowned sparrow in the yellow Lady Banks rose bush

Paths Crossed

A sparrow’s time is different than mine
Her actions much more determined

It’s dawn, time to feed
A long day awaits her

It is only by chance
Our paths crossed at the roses

She leaves its shelter to forage
I ready myself for the day, as well
