Bastrop Hose Wagon 1904
The museum guide said that this was the first fire truck with an engine. I can’t find any information on it online, so I don’t know if he meant the first one in Bastrop, Texas, with an engine or the first one in the country with an engine. It’s a mystery!

I live in central Texas and my driving trips don’t take me any farther than somewhere else in Texas where I can get there and home in one day. Driving home from Santa Fe, New Mexico, however, I saw this sign.
