We hung this (dog) rug on the fence to air out some. While looking out the window one morning, I kept seeing some small birds dart in and out of it. And sure enough, I lifted up one side of the rug and found a nest. I think it’s a nest for Bewick’s Wren. You can see some of the nesting materials handing down from the bottom. It’s often quite windy here, so we secured the rug to the fence with clothespins.
