I found one of these beauties by the roadside once in Ca — hit by a car on a winding mountain road. Had no idea what to do; the firefighter guy at the nearby station was blank too. Since I was on my way to work, I took it with me, wrapped up in a towel [I think it was in shock], asked around and found someone who volunteered at the local wildlife refuge! Handed it over with great relief.
