I have an easy time buying beautiful fabric but a hard time it cutting up. I managed to do just that, however, for this Sashed Half Hexagon quilt in Asian fabrics. It will soon go to the quilter, then the binding goes on. After that, I will give to a friend who is unaware I am making a quilt for them. And it’s someone who doesn’t read my blog, so I am totally safe in showing it to everyone else.
The pattern is the Sashed Half Hexagon by Missouri Star Quilt Company.
What a lucky friend! That’s beautiful.
Oh, poo. I am not getting this quilt, but it is gorgeous! They will be so pleased.

That’s gorgeous! Reminds me of a stained glass window. Love the colors. Do you buy coordinating fabric sets or do you pick each color at a time? I have to admit I’m terrible with picking out colors so I’m envious of anyone who can.
I bought all these fabrics separately over a period of several years. I also have problems coordinating fabrics. While shopping, I can choose two fabrics that I think go together, but if I need more than two, I have to ask for help. Fortunately, Asian fabrics are usually multi-colored and I managed to have enough variety in my stash for this quilt.
Wow, well it’s beautiful!
