I took an online class from Deb Canham to make this bag on the serger. Even the zipper is put in with the serger. I bought the fabric kit from Deb, as well. Only the button came from my stash.

I serged a sweater yesterday. Just in time for the brutal summer heat. Pattern = Cocoon Cardigan by Patterns for Pirates. Instructor = Deb Canham. Online class hosted by Original Sewing & Quilt Expo.

Two Rope Bowls

Black and White from the side. I tried to be artistic with the fabric placement.

I have 15 or so rope bowls scattered around the house. I really like them. I hadn’t sewn any in several years, though. I gave these two away to some friends.

The rope comes from The Mountain Thread Company in North Carolina. They have videos on how to sew rope bowls.
