Spicewood Valley Trail

We hiked the Spicewood Valley Trail recently. It was quite overgrown, thanks to the recent heavy rains. I also got a few chigger bites that are still itching.

Hamilton Pool Preserve

Hamilton Pool Preserve is a Travis County Park with a waterfall and pool (thus the name). It’s crowded on the weekends and many people are turned away, but on a weekday, you just might get in. It’s beautiful.

A River Runs Through It

My hiking group enjoyed an outing at Milton Reimer’s Ranch on the Pedernales River. It was a grey, overcast day; good for hiking, not the best for photographing. I’m not sure if it was a good day for fishing; the fisherman was not part of our group.
