Great Kiskadee: Rare

I saw this bird a couple of times only to have is fly away when I came back outside with my camera. I got lucky to get this far away photograph. According to my bird books, seeing a Great Kiskadee this far north (Creedmoor, Texas) is rare.

Youngsters on a Wire

Young Scissor-tailed Flycatchers on my fence. Adults seem to be always on the move and my photos of them are blurry. I’m happy these youngsters posed, even if only for a few moments.
