This is a mural on Burnet Road in Austin, Texas. Many times I drove by and wished I had my camera with me, and finally did. I checked the front of the building to see the business was, but it was empty.

Quilt Leftovers
And another fabric bowl. I made this one out of leftover fabric from a quilt. I never know how the fabric pattern will look once it’s wound around the cord and sewn together.
It’s a good size for my pens, pencils, and eraser; easy to keep track of them this way.

Some Kind of Scarecrow?
Chronophage Clock
On display at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is the Chronophage Clock by John C. Taylor. I wish my photos had turned out a bit better, but here they are anyway. There are blue lights that shine through the clock for the timekeeping. The grasshopper’s legs move the time pieces. Sometimes it moves its head and opens its mouth. I didn’t stand there long enough to determine the timing of those movements.
