Abby likes to sleep on her back with her feet up in the air. It doesn’t look comfortable to me, but what do I know. I try to sneak up on her for a photograph but no matter how quiet I think I am, she hears me and turns over. Here she is stretching, after one of my failed efforts at being really, really quiet.

I saw some snail shells and decided to photograph them. It was only when I looked through my camera lens that I saw there were snails still in the shells!
This snail was moving so fast, it blurred the photo! (Okay, it was probably camera operator error (me!), but still!)

This is a bee hive that the city covered up. The story I heard was that a couple of people working on the trail near the tree were stung multiple times and needed medical attention. The city is planning on moving the hive. It’s blocked off right now and we have to walk way around the tree to continue on the trail.

This dog and the person it owns were out for a nice walk and a round of ball tossing and retrieving. Then the sprinklers came on at the old City of Austin power plant. The dog was way more interested in playing in the water than returning the ball.
