I found this gem at Inks Lake State Park. First time I’d seen a snail hanging on a flower petal. Now, just how did it get there?

The place where I went for the wildflower photography workshop has a frog pond. Most of my workshop photos are blurry (grrr!), but I managed a few that weren’t.

Back on the trail at McKinney Falls State Park . . .

Northern Cardinal

Rain lily with grasshopper

Prickly Pear blooms with guests

Spittlebug Foam. A spittlebug is the nymph phase of the Froghopper insect. It creates the foam for insulation and protection.
I’m pretty sure this is a Red Admiral butterfly.

At McKinney Falls State Park
We still have standing water from a couple of days of rain. This frog decided to take up residence in the puddle close to our dining room window.
