Those of us living in drought areas don’t have to wait for autumn to see leaves turning colors.
I don’t usually hike McKinney Falls State Park in the summer; it’s just too hot. But one day in early August, there was a cloud cover, and there I was.
A fierce storm came through Sunday night; winds about 70 mph. The view outside looked like a TV report during a hurricane. We lost three trees and four Purple Martin condo complexes (and it’s nesting season). This tree was 20 years old.
There is this challenge on Facebook to post seven black and white photos, no people in them, no explanation as to the subject or why the photo was chosen. Each day you were supposed to name a different person to join the challenge. I was named to join the challenge, so I did. I did not, however, name anyone else to join the challenge.
