Blurred in Flight
The colors in Sunday’s sunrise were beautiful. I rushed out with my camera to get a few shots. I heard a Great Blue Heron squawk as it took flight from the pond. I didn’t have time to change the camera settings to get a crisp photo.

This is the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge in northern New Mexico. I was there early on a Sunday morning (about 5:30 a.m.) to wait for sunrise. On the high desert it is cool in the mornings, in the low 50s. I could hear the rush of the river below as I stood alone on the edge of the gorge. It was just me, the river, and the beautiful clouds at dawn.
