Abracadabra! Almost like magic! From a pile of half square triangles . . .

. . . to a quilt! Actually, this is the quilt top. It’s at the quilter’s as we speak and soon it will be a quilt!

I found Marcela at the Kyle (Texas) Market Days. She has a booth selling peppers and plants. She made her dress! Sweet!

She said the peppers will put hair on your chest. I’ll just have to take her word for it.

“Thread” was one item on the supply list for my art quilt class. Patty brought some of hers. Yes, only some. I brought one of those thread containers to class. Yes, I have more thread than what fits in one container. But I’m not saying how much. No, can’t make me.

The painter’s tape is to secure the boxes for the trip home. We were packing up when I photographed these boxes.
I’m starting on another quilt. I’ve sewn all the half-square triangles and trimmed them to 6.5 inches. Next up, laying them on the living room floor to decide their placement. There are 168 blocks and I’m not sure if I’ll use all of them. I’ll let you know.

Here are a few more quilts that caught my eye at the 2016 Austin Area Quilt Guild show. So inspiring. [Big sigh]
