Cooler Weather Benefits
The arctic winter temperatures traveled south earlier and colder than usual this year. While many of us were scrambling to keep safe, warm and dry, our miniature rose breathed a sigh of relief and blossomed nicely.

I came across this “rock” flower while walking on a trail in Chalk Ridge Falls Park, Texas. A couple of the petal stones had been dislodged, so I put them back and left the flower for other hikers to enjoy.

I like the idea of Macro Monday photos. I don’t have a macro lens, so I rely on closeups instead. Somehow “Closeup Monday” just doesn’t have the same effect. Maybe “Monday Up Close.” Kinda liking that one.
