Location, Location, Location

Red tried to peek over the curb. “What do you see?

Yellow surveyed the unkempt lot. “Looks like we are the first ones here. Maybe the only ones.

That can’t be good.” Red wanted to be in a proper garden. The possibility of being alone, abandoned worried him.

Yellow noted that the trees were far enough away to prevent resource competition. The tool shed indicated an attentive gardener. Deciding to make the best of things, Yellow stood as tall as possible, taking in the full sun. “It’s kinda nice being the center of attention for once, don’t you think, Red?

Too, Too Something

Lesson 4 of my online sketch and watercolor class covered flowers. I knew not to use a rose, as they are just problematic for beginners. I went to the only two stores in my area that sold flowers. Other than roses and orchids, there wasn’t much of a selection. I ended up with brightly dyed flowers.

The flower isn’t particularly recognizable from my paintings. I’m calling that “an artist’s interpretation.” That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
