Another sketch that turned out harder that I thought it would. Still, there’s value in sketching objects that are above my skill level. As I’m teaching myself to sketch, it may take a while for improvements to show up, but it’s better than using only objects I can easily sketch (which may be very few, in reality).

When I started sketching, I discovered that I had a heavy hand: all my lines were deep and dark; hard to erase. I’ve worked on changing that, and now I find that I have to re-do many, if not all, lines in my sketches because they are too light and don’t show up well in photos. It’s always something!
