What sort of insects are inside? I like butterfly houses, but I’ve not seen one of these before.

I think it’s a nursery for caterpillars and such. Just a guess.
Never heard of an insectary. Is it like a beehive, they’re all loose inside? or in separate boxes? Are they raised for a specific purpose?
I looked inside and didn’t seen anything flying around. I think it’s an insect nursery.
