Abby likes to sleep on her back with her feet up in the air. It doesn’t look comfortable to me, but what do I know. I try to sneak up on her for a photograph but no matter how quiet I think I am, she hears me and turns over. Here she is stretching, after one of my failed efforts at being really, really quiet.

My dogs are the same, I never manage to sneak up on them for a picture either, even when they are deeply asleep they notice. -Ellie
this is a habit or way of sleeping for the whippet and gray hounds.. we don’t know why, but the more awkward it looks it seems the more comfortable they are… we love watching them, their antics, dogs are such wonderful companions.
