Chronophage Clock

On display at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is the Chronophage Clock by John C. Taylor. I wish my photos had turned out a bit better, but here they are anyway. There are blue lights that shine through the clock for the timekeeping. The grasshopper’s legs move the time pieces. Sometimes it moves its head and opens its mouth. I didn’t stand there long enough to determine the timing of those movements.
