We hiked the Spicewood Valley Trail recently. It was quite overgrown, thanks to the recent heavy rains. I also got a few chigger bites that are still itching.

Yes, that *is* “red and yellow, kill a fellow” (coral snake). It went on its way without incident. Sorry for the blurry photo.

These are some nice pictures. I was really enjoying them until the last one! I am so afraid of snakes I don’t like to look at them at a distance or even in print. So glad you made it the last picture so I could enjoy all of the other pictures. LOL
