Friday Fictioneer Challenge: Write a 100-word story based on the photo prompt.

Sam’s cell phone rang. “Where are you?” Andy asked.
“At the Crystal Ruins,” Sam replied. “I can find the geocache this time, I’m sure of it.”
“Yeah, right. You’re always sure and always wrong. Your geocaching treks usually end in disaster and you’re allergic to practically everything outside. Why are you doing this?”
“It’s fun,” Sam explained. “You’re overreacting.”
“No, I’m not. I read a GPS better than you, with all the times I’ve rescued you.”
As if on cue, Sam has a sneezing attack. Achoo! Achoo! Achoo!
“Uh oh,” said Sam, “I think both my contacts just popped out.”

Dear Tresha,
I hate it when that happens. 😉 Good one.
shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you – you’ve just described most of my geocaching adventures, better than I could have!
Too funny! Wishing you luck in finding the cache — and finding your way home! 🙂
Hilarious and horrible! I’m sure everything is going to be just fine – but I hope Andy gives him a good ribbing later!
Maybe Andy should start charging Sam for rescue services. Hazardous duty pay, or something like that.
Oh dear, poor Sam. Lucky Sam has Andy for rescues. Great write.
We should all be so lucky to have an “Andy” in our lives.
Tresha, Humorous story. Sam seems to be courting problems. He has a treasure in his friend Andy. Well written. 🙂 —Susan
Dear Tresha, Very cute story and funny! You are so clever and I popped one of my contacts out by sneezing years ago – but I found it – it was a hard lens so smaller. Great job!
Nan 🙂
I’m glad you found your contact! Sam, I fear, will not be so lucky, as both of his popped out onto that light-colored surface. Oh, dear.
