On one side of the driveway is the Burr Oak, whose leaves are starting to wilt. On the other side of the driveway is the Pecan tree that has decided to put out some new growth. It’s just in a couple of places, but still, unexpected.

Our little Cypress tree had dropped all of its leaves already this season. Then we got a good rain. Next thing I know, the tree had put out a whole new set.

I had been photographing one set of Burr Oak acorns every week, sort of a time-lapse thing. Then one day, those acorns were gone. In fact, most of the acorns had dropped off (during a storm, I think). Fortunately, some remain.
