Lady Banks, Lady Banks

Old world roses bloom but once a year
Such timing makes us hold them all the more dear
The petal clusters are small and tight
Mother Nature assures us she got it right
I planted two: yellow and white
Lady Banks, Lady Banks beautiful in any light

White Lady Banks almost in full bloom

White Lady Banks almost in full bloom

One white Lady Banks rose

One white rose

Yellow Lady Banks in full bloom

Yellow Lady Banks in full bloom

NaPoWriMo Day 20

View from my Window

The view from my window
Depends on me to see it
I can drive by, day after day
Looking straight ahead

But

Ahead is not the only line of sight
I can always find something
To the left and to the right
And the trail left behind, as well

Taking the time to notice
Fellow travelers, the changing seasons
Helps me along my way

Bluebonnets in a field

Bluebonnets, oh, bluebonnets

The back of a utility truck with equipment

It’s not blocking the view; it is the view
