I Got You, Babe
Keith loved art, especially other people’s art. He stole several small, valuable items from the Chateau de Sable. (He wondered about people who name their houses.) Back in the car, he turned on his phone. Immediately, the ringtone “I got you, babe!” chimed. His date from the previous night, Hazel, was calling.
“Babe,” he answered, “I’m at work. I’ll call you back.”
“Actually, now’s a good time to talk. I’m here.”
She walked up to his window. He was surprised to see her wearing a badge and gun. Detective Hazel Stoddard greeted him: “I got you, babe. You’re under arrest.”

Ooh…. Karma on roller-skates! That smarts! Nice backspin on this one. 🙂
No, this tale is not about me! He didn’t see that coming.

Ouch detective honey traps are the worst.. I guess there is always a weak part even in the best of thieves.
Hah, serves him right. Yay for clever Kate.
That was great, Tresha. I love a female police officer having that as a ring tone. It looks as though a trap was laid for him and snapped shut. Good twist at the end. Well done. 😀 — Suzanne
Very good. I like the dialogue – and the double meaning in the song title. Great twist.
