We have one cypress tree on our pond. I went out several times to photograph it, trying to capture the rusty glow. Photos at dawn, photos around noon, photos close to sundown. All of them looked flat; I couldn’t capture the aura I saw around the tree.
This photo came the closest to the color I saw. Couldn’t get this color in any photo with the whole tree. The tree is bare now so I will have to wait until next year to try again.
I think we have one of these in our front yard, but I can’t see from my apartment so I’ll have to put on something besides pj’s to go out front and look! Funny, I have always thought of cypress only as the Italian type, columnar, so I went online to check it out. Always nice to learn something new. https://www.austintreeexperts.com/blog/cypress-trees-of-central-texas/
