Primary Colors
Blue, yellow, red. Helios has no imagination, Eos sighed. Their parents gave him a whole planet to play with and he uses only primary colors? She picked up the brush and spent the new few millennia mixing hues, putting them all over her brotherβs planet.
Helios returned. “What are you doing?” he yelled. “Crystals are not supposed to be purple!”
Eos laughed. “You mean amethyst?”
He picked up the canvas and threw it at her. The paint dripped all over her robe, and forever more all sunrises in the universe were streaked with pink, peach, blue, violet, orange and red.

Love a bit of Greek mythology. Good story. π
Very inventive. Good job.
Clever and I’m glad that the colors changed for the better! Nan π
The more colors, the better, right?
See, you knew that color mixing class would come in handy one day!
The mythology is a great take on the prompt. Nicely done!
Thanks! I enjoyed researching the different mythologies, looking for one that I could make fit my story idea.
Extraordinary story.
Oooh, brilliant use of the prompt! Love the story π
Very creative and enjoyable.
I love this. It’s so descriptive and the references to Greek mythology are perfect. Lovely description of the colours of sunrises. And all with a touch of humour. Well written. π
Thank you! I had fun working on a story where I could include Eos and Helios.
Greek mythology is wonderful and you got those two in really well. π
Dear Tresha,
I’m glad that sunsets didn’t end up being primary colors. Clever story.
