Fishing Expedition

It wasn’t his only unsolved case, but the one that bothered Andy the most. The car explosion sent debris and body parts everywhere; funerals for the family of three had closed caskets. Andy never gave up looking for that one piece of evidence to connect the crime to the prime suspect.

Now retired, Andy decided he might as well go fishing. It was just a coincidence, he told everyone, that his place of choice was near the crime scene.

Andy tugged on his fishing line; it was caught on something. When he found what the lure had snagged, he smiled.
