This is the first page I colored from the coloring book Stories of West Africa by Hollis Chatelain. I used a set of 12 Prismacolor Premier Art Markers. Check out her website Hollisart for the coloring book and her other wonderful art.

Beautiful! How do you get such brilliant colors? I love these books, but the “pencils” I can afford give the palest pastel colors no matter how hard I press or wet them down. I have been afraid to buy one of the $15 or more sets for fear they wouldn’t be any better and my frustration would be doubled by the waste of money.
I bought the (small) set of 12 Prismacolor markers because I wasn’t familiar with them. They turned out to be nice, saturated colors.
